My BIL shot the big 9 I’ve been watching all summer. Pics to come. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I had put a camera out on the public that I like to pretend has deer. Since I’m still out of town working, my buddy went to change cards and send me pics. Some ******* turned off my camera and took my sd card out of it. At least the left the camera. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey guys. Back from Montana elk hunt. Had a couple close encounters with a 6x6 herd bull. They were not very receptive to challenge bugles or any bugling for that matter. Especially up close. I'm guessing they have played that game one too many times. I gave my one shot at 56 yds to a friend's son only to learn at the moment of truth that he can't shoot that far. It was an incredible calling and stalking experience. Hell of time though. Sent from my SM-N981U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I’ve had that happen on private ground. At least they didn’t take your camera. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I hope I don’t regret passing this buck last evening. I want to see him get another year older. His horn mass says 3-1/2 but his body says 4-1/2. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I agree he looks like a four year old. Looks like high 120s pushing 30 maybe to me. Has good spread though!
Yea he’s a 130”. I’m 58 years old and have come to the realization that they can’t get big if you shoot them when their young. A guy at a check station in Ohio told me when I was checking in a 125”, he said “you know if you keep shooting bucks like that, you’re never going to get a big one”. Yep.. at 63 I'm at that point too. Have been blessed to take some good ones in the last 10 years. Hard to hold out sometimes when my kill vein is about to bust, but I try... 2020 buck from my lease on the right that I have had for 7 years, and my 2010 buck on the left from a lease I was in for 10 years before that. Both with archery equipment.
Wow, that’s some great looking bucks. What does the droptine buck score? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Here’s my 2020 on left 164-4/8” and 2021 on right 161-5/8”. My biggest to date taken with crossbow. Accident in 2008 killed my compound bow days. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sweet looking mounts Dmax. Those are fine deer brother! Drop time goes 200 and change. He Has some fliers that you can't see in that pic.
Wow that thing is a toad. I could only dream of a buck like that. I knew it had to be 200”. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Same, man I'd love to take a drop tine. I've never seen one in the wild, which is weird in Iowa. Season is getting close! Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
The only place I ever seen a droptine was in IL. We had a lease there for 6 years until they went crazy with the Non-Resident license fees.
That first thing be works for me go gettem, we need to get on the board. I’ll be out in OCt Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
