    I took my girls out one evening this weekend and passed on a good 10 point. I'm not even exactly sure why I did it. 12 yards in the blind. There are some better deer out there and I wasn't ready to be done yet. At least I think that's what I was thinking. Who the hell knows. It wasn't a case that the buck wasn't good enough for me. I'm not that guy. He would have been a top 5 buck in my lifetime. I just wasn't ready and hopefully the decision pays off. It was nice to teach the kids that it's not always about the kill. Who knows, maybe I'll see him again and change my mind!!!! I have no excuse for the doe either. That will hopefully get done in short order.

    I passed a 10 point this weekend also. It just wasn't a hard decision for me because he was a 2-1/2 year old. Probably 115". 2 more years and he should be 140" - 150". That's what I'm looking for. At least a 4-1/2 year old 140" or better.

    I wish he was only two. My target buck is a 5 year old (at least) 7 point. HA!!! He won't score much but he tickles my fancy!!!!

    Hey guys been super busy with work, moving, ext. got a new permission piece after work got out at 5:30 tonight. Crested a hill of beans and saw 4 nice bucks making scrapes. Dropped my climber and went to the corner woods where 2 fields meet and butts up to decent set of woods on the ground. One of the bucks must have embeen curious he came through the woods to 7 yards broadside and out a rage in him. Better pics to come had to go to work lol

    Congratulations Dusty! That's a great buck and to be able to get him on the ground is icing on the cake. I sure hope you got pics with you bow in it. I can't imagine stalking that close to a mature buck on the ground. Sweet!
