It's gotta happen in the next 3 or 4 days.

Historically from Nov 11-16 I've killed my best bucks.. usually I see chasing from 10/28 until the first week of November.

It's gotta get better cause this past week has sucked for me!

 

Been the same for a lot of people. It was a lot of fun to see the switch flipped tonight

It only takes one hot doe in your area to flip the switch. I've had a lot of chasing for the past 5 - 6 days here in PA but it all 3-year-old and younger bucks just running around chasing does to see if they're in heat. I don't think they are yet, but it will happen any day and that's when the lock down will happen. Get out every chance you get because it can change in an instant. Good luck Team.

Didn't say anything last night about the spill I took. Got my foot hung up on a Vine and fell on my pack. One of my better laurel and hardy moves. Anyway woke up this morning feeling it. Was going to hunt this evening and then have plans to hunt with SIL Sunday morning. Think I'll lick my wounds today and get better for my morning hunt tomorrow. Gun opener is next Saturday so I'll be out as much as possible next week.

Have an rare east wind today. Gonna put SIL in my best stand and go hunt over by the river. He gets very little time off from driving and he helped me put it up. Figure he deserves the best spot.

Last night I caught a lil buck harassing a doe on my trail camera. Hoping to just get a shot at a slick head or a decent buck today.

Just shot a doe. Heard her crash 100 yards away. Had a small 100 8 point following two does. Killed the one he wasn't interested in.

I'm headed out this afternoon, gonna take my son with me, hoping I can put something on the ground with him, that'd be pretty amazing.

Just an update,there was a captains vote over a scorecard entry (not our team), I'm sure Chief will post something after a bit.

Good work on the doe! Overall we're doing awesome on putting does down, but struggling with bucks. I certainly haven't contributed yet, hoping to put one down soon. I have tomorrow off as well, but thinking about doing close to an all day sit.

He saw 9. One big buck ran all around him and he never got a shot off. Chasing turned on at my lease. I saw 4 maybe 5 bucks and 5 does. Got to get my doe into processor tomorrow morning... then I'll be out for an evening sit. Shooting that doe energized me...

I'm ready to shot a good one!
