It happens to all of us. I know when I take a day off at work the next several days is crazy trying to catch up. Hope your feeling better.

 

Change of palns. Going help my brother get some firewood this afternoon. Headed to the farm to load up my trailer with a couple ricks of wood.
He is getting ready to have a cancerous nodule removed from one of his kidneys and I want to make sure he has some wood to burn while he recovers. Docs think they caught it early. I hope so.

Better to miss now and be ready for this cold front coming in a few days. Ill ba back after it Friday -Sunday this week.

 

Hunting can always take a backseat to family. All the best for your brother. Just don't throw your back out today doing it.

We are having a return of summer but the deer apps are predicting good deer movement. Heading out this am. Found a decent rub so maybe he'll show up this am.

Good Luck this morning. You never know what the wind might blow in.

 

Since 5am this morning I have had 4 different bucks hit the same scrape on camera. The last one being a button. Boys tomorrow should be a banner day. And it just gets better from there the next week. Good luck....

 

I just got a text and then a call from my Dad. He shot splits this evening. I am so happy for him. This was my other target buck that I passed last year because I thought he was only a 3.5 year old. I stayed home in PA this weekend and he went out with my BIL. What a buck.

 

My oh my. That's a hum dinger Dmax. Dad may have ya beat there brother.

Congrats to dad. He's my hero. Us old guys can still get it done.

 

I'm starting to consider myself an old guy. I'm 59 and my Dad turns 79 in April. We feed off of each other and I'm just so glad that he was able to get a chance at him. He has only ever had one picture of him at his spot and that was 2 months ago.

 

Just awesome. Year you all will always have memories of.
