I gotta get to Ohio some year. I will be in Kansas this fall and I'm due to draw Iowa when I figure out where I want to go. Good luck this weekend. Should be a good one to get out.

If anyone asks you If I like to hunt tell them honestly.
No. I’m hate it. I hate hunting. And I hate stupid freaking deer. It’s so much less heartbreak to just sit in front of the tv and relax.

Shot a spike tonight. After three hours of searching, only blood I found was on the arrow shaft. Went back to the impact sight to dig around and see if he covered up any useful information when he took off running. Found a tiny piece of meat under some pine straw.
Called it a night, and turned the game camera on the area. Let’s hope he comes back around and survives. Will continue searching in the morning.

Stupid deer.

Plan on hunting lease Friday and Saturday. Hope the wind in the forecast doesn't change. Should see some doe's.

Was covered in deer in the dark. They were crossing the creek coming from an acorn patch and headed to the thick cover with full stomachs. They almost messed around for too long but crossed the creek just before shooting light. Nothing since.
