    Actually, the joke I attempted to make but failed to get across is that it took me longer than usual to get to the entry but it was still only a little over four hours.

    I remember when it could be a couple of weeks. :lol:

    Early season leads in the contest don’t mean a thing.

    The weather and some unexpected thunderstorms kind of killed the weekend for me. It's supposed to cool way down this weekend and I will be out there friday, saturday and sunday. My buck prospects are bleak and my own property has very little deer activity due to the wolves. I have other options and a doe gets it this weekend. Planted over 5 acres of food plots and have hung 12 stands in the last year on my property and it feels like it was for nothing at this point. Guess it's back to my roots on the large tract of public near my place. Over 100,000 acres. Good luck to everybody out there. I got a feeling somebody is about to poke a good one.

    It was just too stinking hot this past weekend. I usually go every 2 weeks to Ohio in October but I'm going to go back on Friday due to major temperature drops expected. Only time will tell. Good Luck getting after them Gemini.

    I know you will brother. I hoping the drop in temperature will bring one of these two bucks in this weekend. One's been showing up in the morning in daylight and the other in the evening. Only time will tell.
