I skip killing a buck for a couple of years and we still win. Last year I bring in 225 points and we lose. Go figure....
You just never know about the contest. Big bucks are great and really help but having everyone on the team put points on the board is more important. That’s where we fell short last year.

Now this guy gets me excited. He just showed up this week in a spot that my camera hadn't been working since June. I think it's his G5 that turns in on the right side.

As I get older I have found the safety of the ground is more suited to my style of hunting at my age. With my diabetes I have dizzy spells and being up in a tree stand is becoming more dangerous. So for my birthday (64) I asked for ground blinds! Yep... I got 3 270 see through and will be setting them up shortly. Will hang cameras on these to do some pre hunt planning..
Good afternoon fellas! Unfortunately, I come as the bearer of some semi-bad news for a few members of your team. With registration numbers dwindling year by year, we need to reduce the # of members on each team to have more of them. Our executive team put our heads together and decided the best option is to remove any members that did not contribute to last year's championship score and put them back into the pool of registrants to be placed on another team for this season. So your team will be going from 11 members down to 9. At the end of this season we may do the same thing as we would optimally like 8 members per team in the future. So with that said, Cougar Mag (my old friend!) and blackbear are being removed and placed back into Gen Pop. Sorry fellas! You can all blame social media for killing Forums. We're a dying breed, unfortunately.

I hear you Bone. I only have 1 tree stand and it's a lock on 40 feet in the air 35 yards from where I have a picture of that buck. I have a blind that I put up on scaffolding and a hale bale blind. I've setup all ground blinds for my Dad you turned 78 this spring. I've been sharing the pictures and he says, "Keep sending them". He's getting excited for the season too.
I've been noticing that signups every year keep getting lower and lower. It's unfortunate but I don't know how we change it. Best of luck Cougar Mag & blackbear, we all go through years that we don't harvest a deer. You will make up for it this year.
