Sit the green field tonight. 12 does one small buck. Broke my promise tonight. Could have shot a doe for the eldest. let them walk cause I didn't want to mess up the green field. Be back tomorrow to run it back in a different spot.

This weekend has been brutal. Low teens in the mornings and a constant wind. Biggest buck I saw was a 2 year old 8 point. Headed back out this morning for one last sit. 12 degrees outside. Headed back home around noon. Good luck team.

Saw 3 does and watched a 6 point cross the green field at 7:45 this morning. Could have killed all of them.. Coyote came in at 10:30 but he didn't leave. 308 makes a mess out out them! Yep it's a proven killer now. Need a big buck to test it on!

Man, it’s been busy at work. I’ve been out a few times when i’ve been home long enough to try to. Missed a few shot that I’ve taken at a decent 6 pointer.
And had a doe blowing at me more than a few times.
Got out in the woods last night and about 30 min til Last light the blowing doe comes in. I’ve already signed a treaty with the King to murder her. I took the shot.
She went down where I shot her.
I decided with a half hour left, I’ll wait to see if Mr.6 comes in. About ten minutes till last light a buck that I thought was him comes in and immediately hides his head behind a tree, giving me a broadside shot and I only saw his rack on his way in. He’s standing staring at the downed doe.
    I sent the arrow.
He blew out this loud grunt burrp and tore out like someone had shot him or something.
After a long track through the dark (took forever to find blood) I recovered a much smaller deer than what I thought he was.
My guess is, he’s going to be the default 50.
Now, this being my first year harvesting anything here, how do I go about submitting the kills?

Congratulations on the kills! I’ll chime in since it may take your teammates a while to check the thread.

Im guessing you’re correct about the buck being 50 points (Fergie).

Make a post in the official scorecard thread like this:

    Team 8
    Doe - 50 points and
    Buck - 50 points (Fergie)
Killed 11/21/2022 @ (add time of kill for both)

(Attach the two pics of you, the bow and both deer)

That should do it. I happen to know the guy running the contest.

Yep. At least second or third and possibly first if his estimate was low. You all would still have to contend with the rest of my team though. :poke:

I don’t know what else I can do to get him to enter his buck besides send the email I sent.

Thanks for helping out, Chief. I got back from Ohio on Monday evening and have been stuck at work playing catch up and this is my first chance to get on.

I'll be out tomorrow morning sitting the green field again. Im gonna give it a break today and rest my weary bones.

But-- the wife has pans for me to carry in wood while the weather is nice today. I will rest after that i quess.

First gun season goes out Sunday. Archery only until the following Saturday when muzzle loader comes in.

Im going to drag the x-bow back out on 12/1 and hunt my favorite ladder stand.

BTW--Another big one showed up last week. I call him splits.

This is him two years ago 22 yards from my favorite stand. He is bigger this year and probably will go 180.

Yes, you've got to keep those honeydew lists got up for the wife. Glad to hear you had another shooter show up. I can't wait to see pictures with your hands on one of them. Good Luck!
