Went for a couple of hours yesterday. No luck. Pulled camera card. Appears most of the bucks are still carrying both sides.
This morning I walked a piece of public ground that I have been considering hunting next season. I found some pretty good deer sign. Only real problem is that the best sign was probably a mile from the nearest road. Not sure I'm up for a drag from out of there. I didn't find any sheds, just one dead young buck.
Hey guys I'm not in any yet but it should be getting good here in a couple weeks. Got around 6 hrs in now! It's hell hunting 800 acres of nothing but timber. Got a couple other places to go but waiting a week or so as not to blow them out!
Tommy, did you find 18 more? I just want to update the score to make sure. We haven't found anything else here at all. It is going to be about 72 today. The pic's I've been getting are still showing bucks with both sides. We haven't had any "bad" weather yet. Heck, out of our 2 acres of standing beans I bet that there are 1 1/2 acres still standing full of beans. We don't have any snow at all and haven't had hardly any to speak of all year.
I'm feeling much better today. I've had a terrible cold since a week ago this past Friday. I haven't felt like doing anything. We took a little tour around our place yesterday but didn't find anything. We need to pull the cards to see if they've started dropping here yet. I'll be able to get out this week to do some more looking.
Finally got on the board yesterday. Logged about 3 miles on public ground and didn't find anything. Found this one on my 40. Put me down for 1. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
I checked in with the in-laws today. All the bucks we had been watching are all still carrying both sides. No stress here so far unless you call 75 in February stressful!!
Keep it up Tommy!! The bucks here are still carrying both sides. Thanks for keeping it simple for me.
We pulled the cards yesterday on all the cameras at our place. There is only one buck that is missing both sides. We're guessing that it is the buck that we have found one side from. The weather hasn't been very helpful in taking care of these antlers falling off. It was 70 Saturday and Sunday. It is supposed to be close to 70 today as well. I imagine when they go to falling off they will all fall at once. My wife talked to her folks this weekend also about the deer at their place as well. The bucks there are still carrying both sides as well.
