Sorry been off lately. First off congrats soccer on your pursuit! Also, welcome camo75 to the team! Hunted the last 4 days. Not been very good. Think their pattern is changing. They are starting to shed and thinking they are starting to hit the white oaks. We shall see.
Thanks still have a long ways to go in the process and lots of luck for this to become reality. If it's not meant to be at least I can say I tried like crazy. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Ok guys I am hunting in central Indiana on a few different properties. Also have a really good spot in southern IN but getting the time to get down there this year will be really hard as we have an 8 month old that keeps me busy. But I love it! Can't wait until he is tagging along with his own bow. Oct 1st starts our season and I did not have time to get my cameras out yet. I have an older 12 that showed only his antlers last year that I really would love to get. He would not score well bone wise, but to out-smart an old roman nose is really my goal. Hope to get another look at him this year. This is all I have of him: Not sure he would score much more than 120 but I feel he is 5-6 years old. If you think I am wrong please correct me. I would love to know your thoughts on age(without body I know is hard to guess). My spot in southern IN has quite a few big one's roaming around but our stuff gets stolen all the time so I dont put out cameras. Nothing worse than driving 3 hours in the morning to get to your stand an hour early, and it's gone Good luck this year everyone!
A cool 50 degrees here this morning. Fall is in the air! My deer season will be here before you know it. I checked 2 cams last Friday. Nothing on cameras note worthy. In 10 days I captured over 600 photos, no burst on 1 camera. They chewed through 100 pounds of feed in 10 days. lol!
He will score better then 120s. He's probably knocking on 140 easy. A front view would help my guesstimate better. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Nothing caught my attention that showed up. so kinda disappointed but still got acouple more properties to check. So hopes are still high Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm out of the woods now until our opener. Just need to wash my clothes and get final equipment inventoried and packed, and then it's a waiting game (and living vicariously through all of you of course ).
I will add that we've had two days of good steady rain showers recently, so I'm thinking I should have good germination in my last two plantings. Won't know for sure until I get out there once the season hits.
These guys live on one of the farms I hunt. There are bigger in the area but its fun to continuously get pictures of them.
Those are monsters, good luck i just locked in my second property permission, i can start shooting does now on that property. might try to get there tomorrow Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
This morning was in the 40s! I made myself grab a sweatshirt for work since I work in coolers most of the day. Felt like hunting season! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
sighted in the muzzys today. On the bright side they're dead on at 20, 30, and 40. Bad side my field tips are a solid 3 or 4 inches high. I'm not gonna mess around with it since the bhs are flying so good. I just need to remember this when I'm shooting field points so i don't lose an arrow. The two arrows are at 40, the single was my first shot at 30. Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Good shooting. You realize shooting at the real thing is much different then shooting at a target for most people. Having the shakes from excitement is great but its also the biggest challenge for me to control when I have the big guy in range. I haven't shot my bow yet and the season starts in a week and half! No worries though. I'll be ready in the next couple days.
Yea I've shot a buck and doe the past 2 years so i am familiar with experiencing the real thing. Thankfully I'm good at keeping it together through the shot. After though, I get hit with the shakes like crazy, love it though. Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
