Never have. We are using frigid forage for the first time this year. It's only our 2nd year doi g plots. We picked it because bill winke from midwest whitetail has good success with it on his property and my friends property is just a couple miles from there. Hoping for good results.

Plots have really started popping good. This is a half are plot we cleared in the woods last year. It was a killer spot last year and the plot didn't turn out great. It's off to a much better start this year. Put down fertilizer on this plot and 2 other plots. We sprayed about 1.25 acres tonight. This is frigid forage seed. We will see how it turns out and I'll keep everyone updated.

We also got around to setting up 9 cameras so we should hopefully start getting a hitlist together. Usually the bucks start showing up around the 18th of October but you never know. I should have about 8000 pictures or so in the next week or so.[IMG][IMG]

Good to know. Will have to order some. Do you wait until it's about 3 inches tall before spraying ?

If anyone wants my phone number so we can text or whatever while hunting I would be glad to give it to you just send me a message with your number. A lot of my stands texting is about the only way to communicate while there.

Was out at the property today. WO acorns falling everywhere. Seen one young buck run up over a saddle right behind one of my old stands. It's been so nice and cool, can't wait to climb up a tree.

Got food plot finished and another stand hung. Opening day only 5 mornings away! Also had my top hit list buck show up in daylight hours , and a decent front coming in on labor day. Game on!

Going out today to plant the woods plot, move a stand and a few cameras. Pulling two cards I haven't checked in a month, so should be interesting. Weather is cooling down... it's almost here!

Hi guys! Checking in... Not a lot of hunting related stuff over the weekend. We did pick up a new pup. He needed to be re-homed and we just couldn't resist! We had been looking for a companion for our dog for quite while.

Meet Saint (right), 9.5 month old Silver lab. He is a sweet, well mannered puppy! He is going to be a giant!

Eisenhower (Ike), is pictured left. He is 1.5 years old....

Anyone interested in a group chat where we can communicate instantly in the field etc? If so, I can set it up!

Sounds like a good idea, I'm in on it. I know SoccerDan mentioned something about chatting in the field as well.
