Had a monster go by at 80yds a little bit ago. Made the big boy I have on camera look like a chump.

Got my buck posted in the contest scorecard.

Pulled some cards today and have about 20 photos of him from October 19h through a day before I shot him. He broke the G2 off on the left side sometime a week prior to me shooting him. Caused me to miss the 100" mark :)

Skunked again. I have a feeling this hunting season is going to suck.

Rattled in a small 8 pointer last night. I thought as cold as it was I would have seen much more movement early....

I checked our new property tonight and there were 20+ deer in the alfalfa field just before dark. At 400+ yards I could see a rack on one of the deer with my naked eye. He has to just be a beast... I have plans to hunt that spot tomorrow night.

It's all about me being in the right place at the right time... If I hunt enough it will happen!

I am going to break out the decoy!

I had I high hopes for this season but am beginning to think I have Monkey on my back. A lot of unexplainable issues this year happen....an extension if last year actually.

Hopefully this morning will be the turning point. I didn't hit the deer thankfully but deflecting into a tree is crazy.

    Could not locate the yote

As I was pulling back my nock popped off my string and I had to let down and re-nock the arrow.

By that time he was 20yds but spooked and skirted to about 35 so I rushed the shot. Recovered the arrow and found gut.

I think dirt might have been stuck inside my nock from lowering my bow down previously and not cleaning it out.

Glad that didn't happen of a deer.

Tough break dbl lung, stay at it.

It's still fun no matter what bad luck we have thrown at us. We still come back for more. Good luck!
