Last evening I saw 4 bucks and 2 doe. I had a really nice 8 pointer (maybe mid 130s) at 23 yards. There are bigger in the area. Fun encounter having them at ground level as I sat in a blind.

Last evening I had 4 bucks come out. The wide 8 was at 30 yards form quite a while eating. He doesn't look as big from an elevated position. The other bucks were year and halfs. A couple decent bucks have been taken in the area but nothing I have pictures of. The biggest one I have has been pictured a mile up the road on Sept 18th. So they are moving around a bit.
Well tomorrow is our opener. Will be in a tree in the morning or evening depending on who can watch my son (it's mom's weekend to work, so lucky me ).

Skunked Saturday afternoon. First sit on opening day that has ever happened. Back at it today or Thursday.

Does anyone know if i shoot a buck can i choose to not enter it in the contest? I know i can't enter one late but i have 2 buck tags and i might get out of state. I guess I'm saying if i shoot a basket rack am i forced to put it in the contest?
