Well, folks decided last night they were getting out of Florida. Storm surge is supposed to be 12'. House is at 13'sea level. Plus 2' of rain. Might get a lil soggy. Dad hasn't left for a hurricane since before Andrew. They'll be here in 10 hrs time. They're headed toward Montgomery to get on I65 to avoid ATL. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Wow, that's probably a good call to get out. Hope they have safe travels and a dry home to go back to. Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Thanks. The place has stood tall since the late 70's. But who knows, this could be the one. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yes sir. Most are here. Some stayed. It didn't turn out as bad as they hyped it up to be. But better safe then sorry. Haven't heard of there was any damage to their property yet. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My mother and her husband got trapped in tarpon springs. They made it thru safely with no dmg to their home. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Got three cameras up Friday and and ordered a new pair of binos and a new pair of light weight early season rubber boots. Anxiously waiting for opening morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So Archers Eight, How long have you been Bowhunting? And What made you start Bowhunting? I have been at it for 22 years. Was given my first bow(Xi Flatliner) from a family member. I absolutely love this time of year more than any other. I usually hunt bow all through the year because firearms just doesn't excite me. I pick up a muzzleloader once in awhile but there is no feeling like Bowhunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I got a cheaper pair of Nikons for $130. It was the prostaff 3s. Not the best but better than I had. Can see pretty far for the properties I hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In 05' I found and old Ben Pearson hanging in the rafters of a barn. Bought a string for it and started flinging arrows for fun. Got pretty good with it, so I decided to start bowhunting. That year I never picked up a rifle and haven't since. Love it to the core. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I got a pair of the Vortex Diamondbacks 10x42. The past 2 years they have had them on black friday for about $135. I love mine.
This will be my 30th season bow hunting. I got into the sport after a friend offered to take me along with him when I was 13 years old. It now is the single thing that comes before everything except my wife and kids. I consider every season a success even if I don harvest a big buck. I spend a lot of time planting food plots, checking cameras and monitoring the areas around where I have permission to hunt. I believe you get out of the sport what you put into it. Despite feeling very knowledgeable about the sport I feel it is one of those sports that is impossible to no everything about it which makes it a real challenge.
I've only been hunting for 6 years. No one in my family hunted, so I didn't grow up hunting. A buddy bought 80 acres of wood/low land and said we were going hunting. First year was firearm hunting. After that fall I decided I wanted to try bow hunting. Bought a bow and accessories that winter and have been trying to harvest my first deer with a bow ever since.
