So what are your guy's standards for a buck? Since it will technically be my first, anything 2 1/2 or older is getting an arrow from me.
Kill what makes you happy. And even a fork buck is still 50 points. If everyone on the team killed a doe and a fork buck I bet that would be enough to win the contest as that would be 1200 points. I don't have a standard set because I don't have squat for bucks on camera yet. So my standards will be set based on what I am seeing and how late in the year it is.
I was wanting to set my goal for a 140 or higher this year but based on the lack of bucks this summer I will probably take a shot at the first buck that makes my heart race!
I still got a property to check out yet, my dad has to talk to the land owner about setting up a stand and stuff still. He lives in Oakland county, which is loaded with deer. He said he doesn't know of many people around him that hunt so I'm hoping there will be a couple good bucks lurking around there.
Yep, as soon as my dad talks to the land owner again we are putting my MPE5 out there along with some corn. I think I am going to save that property for the rut.
