I got mine up as well, he was right what I thought he was, 100 inch 3.5 year old deer that I don't believe would have ever been even a 130 inch deer. I couldn't be happier. Again congrats on a great deer Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Wow great work guys! looks like things are heating up in most places. I was out yesterday until a big storm rolled in, stuck it out as long as I could but the lightning chased me out of the tree. Hoping to get out for 5 days next week.
I'm still waiting for the farmer and/or the wind to cooperate for me to get out again. Looks like things should come together towards the end of the week for me. With some luck I can get out a couple more times before the orange army invades next weekend. Sent from my VS500 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Well gentleman I am heading into a piece of property in the morning that I completely stay out of until the first week of November. Tomorrow is the day, I usually only hunt it once or twice a year. I know that I cannot contribute to the team any more but I will definitely keep you guys updated. Good luck to all! Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Man, nothing is moving at all for me. My schedule has almost exclusively restricted me to afternoon hunts and I have not seen or heard any movement at all for the past two weeks. I should be getting out tomorrow afternoon and hoping that with some cooler temps comes something... Trying not to get discouraged in my first year of hunting this piece of public land.
The weather had finally gotten cooler. Had frost this morning. This is my last weekend to bow hunt before the gun season opens next week. I have Friday off already. I'm thinking of taking tomorrow off to give me a,4 day weekend to put meat in the freezer. I goal has been to get points for the team. But now I'm in meat Hunter mode. I'm in the same "meat hunter mode." I passed on some bucks in early season, but now haven't been seeing anything and my freezer is almost empty of venison. Sorry in advance if I shoot a small buck, but my family needs some meat and I don't know how many chances I will get on public land this year...
I understand. I passed on some bucks earlier and a few does looking for one of the bigger bucks we have running around. Good luck Hunter Bob are you hunting in Michigan too? Sent from my SM-G930U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I have not seen a single shooter yet this year but I am still going out for the next four days before the orange army hits the woods. Hoping for a doe and a decent buck still. Good Luck everyone
In my stand this morning.. Hope to see something.. nearly hit a nice buck with the truck this morning on the way to the farm..... Hope that's a good sign they are moving! Good luck everyone Sent from my SM-G930U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I finally arrowed a doe this afternoon! I entered her a few minutes ago. Worst shot I have ever made, shattered her shoulders, and then had to put another arrow in her. The second arrow did the trick in just a few minutes! I am headed back out in the AM to try to put s buck on the ground. Not real positive it is going to happen just due to trail cams and sits over the last few weeks, but I will give it my best! Best of luck all! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well done! Sounds like you had a better shot than I did yesterday. Had a doe come within 20 yds in through brush. Had an incredibly short window to shoot, where there wasn't even time to call to get her to stop. My shot somehow missed her completely, not sure what happened. She may have ducked, arrow may have hit a twig, or I might just have botched it. No matter what I am bummed, especially because when I was getting another arrow and making ready for a chance at another shot, a buck had sneaked up behind me, saw me move, and took off. Felt like a bumbling fool and still kicking myself...
Can't enter her but I put a third one in the freezer this morning. Waited and waited for a buck I was hoping was behind her but he never showed. She caught me moving a little ended up blowing and she paid the ultimate price for that! The picture of the ground and all the blood is the initial impact spot. You can see the arrow to the left of the picture. It looked like a massacre Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
