    My sister's birthday is on November 16th, opening day in Michigan for rifle is the 15th..My dad always brought a deer home for her present lol

    Well a little basket 6 point I was hoping to survive got blasted by our neighbor yesterday. Terrible quartering away shot and apparently it was just for the meat....really? there are soooo many doe around our area it's crazy and this guy is shooting 1.5 year olds to fill the freezer. I know each hunter has their own beliefs when it comes to what to harvest but, who wouldn't want bigger bucks?

    Some people just have low standards I guess... I should be getting out tomorrow and hoping for my first deer of the season. Sorry I haven't been able to seal the deal yet to get us any points, but hunting on public land is tough!

    Been hunting alot after work this week. Have seen some good action. Little bucks have been chasing. About had a chance last night but didn't come together. Had 3 doe come in bekng tailed by a 10 point buck but by the time realized he was behind them the bigger doe out of group was staring right at me at 20 yards and couldn't move then she spooked off and he stood where she was. So could only sit and watch as he stared me down. Was able to snap few pics tho.

    Went out tonight and jumped what I think was bigger buck been seeing, possibly one I shared pic of earlier, on way to stand. Then didn't see anything rest of night. Seems like been in the right spot just hasn't fell into place yet. Hard to shoot a doe with the bucks chasing but if get a chance this weekend might haveta take one out.

    Here's 10 pointer that saw other night. Last pic can see one of the smaller doe ended up right under me when they scattered. Hopefully I'll be out all weekend so see what happens. [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    Been out 3 sits this weekend and have been skunked all 3 time. The deer my son in law has been seeing are just walking around by him. No rut activity here. Crazy season.

    Not a high scoring deer but I believe that he is 3.5 judging from the pictures that I have this year and last year. I'm happy as can be. I will try to get a score this evening and put him on the score board.
