I live in the general area of houston and have always been an astros fan. I was going crazy during the game and woke my fiance up several times. Ended up having to sleep on the couch but it was worth it. :woot:

It was a heck of a game! I am not a fan of either team but played baseball through college and am just a huge baseball fan. It was a very well pitched and played game, but was mismanaged by LA and astros wanted it more. Wish the cubs were in it again but I can't wait to watch the rest of the series

I'm headed in deep for this evenings sit guys. Hung the stand in late September and had some good rubs from stripping Velvet and haven't been back. It's about 400 yards from any road and is a strip of timber about 80 yards wide with what I hope is now picked corn on either side of the strip of timber connecting two big blocks of timber. I'm a little excited about this sit tonight lol [IMG]

    Man that looks awesome!

My neighbors fields are all in CRP right now unfortunately, have never sat by a food source like that before but would love to on day.

Was your Huntstand app updated recently?

Just a reminder to my team mates. As the weather gets colder, don't forget to practice shooting with gloves on and make any necessary sight adjustments that a change in grip might cause.

Saw a few doe but no shot and had a spike come right underneath my stand. I got a video of him poking around. I'll see if I can find a way to post it.

Hey guys, figured check in if ya havent been watching live thread. Went out last sunday and had couple little guys go by and a small 8 chasing a doe around well out of range. Monday night didnt see much, was cold and raining. Then went out tonight and was pretty slow until last bit of light. Saw the 2 little guys from week before and 3 smaller 6 or 8 point bucks. Nothing came in close enough to think about a shot tho. But feels like I'm in right area.

Been kind of a weird feeling, haven't been seeinv much for doe but cang complain about having all these bucks around. Maybe that means I'm onto something and will be in right spots when big boys start to stroll around farm. Guess I'll see ha. Im gonna head out in morning and afternoon so hopefully have some good news by tomorrow night.

Good luck everybody and stay safe hunting.

I have a confession to make from Minnesota. I passed on this guy at 20 yards this evening with the hope that he would head over to my 15 year old sons stand. My son is so busy with school this year that he hardly has time to hunt so I was really hoping he would get a shot. He named him tear drop because of the little drop tine.

I m not real sure if it was updated recently or not. I haven't used it as much this year as I have in the past. But it is a great little tool

Don't feel bad. I would have probably done the same thing for my son.

I assume he didn't go the right way for him?

Had an absolute hammer show up being my house last night along with a very respectable 7 point. I'm kind of kicking myself in the ass for telling my wife that this could be her spot, I might just have to hunt her stand tomorrow night since she doesn't get off work in time [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Went out all day Saturday in the wind and rain and saw a lot of chasing activity but unfortunately I was sitting in the wrong stand. I sat about 40 yards away from another stand and all the action was there. Sunday morning things were hot as I had around 10 different doe wandering around me and one decent 6 point bumping them around. Though they scented me at one point but it ended up being a pack of three coyote moving in. I launched an arrow at one of them but they were not standing still very long. Seen four coyote in one weekend after not seeing any after four years. I have video of the deer on my Instagram if interested: no_6hunter

He went the opposite direction of my sons stand chasing a doe. Based on my trail cam pics from the last 3 years, he is only 3 1/2 year old. I would love to see what he’ll become given another year to grow.

Last couple of times out I haven't seen much. Public land here is so difficult to hunt, as there are so many bedding areas, so much water, and difficult to figure out what the deer are feeding on. I found a new spot that seems to be a convergence of game trails that I might try going back to tonight. My daughter's bday is November 6th and my wife's is November 11th, God's way of keeping me from being obsessed with hunting this time of year...

Here's a picture from the video I took. This little guy walked over and sniffed an area where I was "marking my territory." I had always heard that urinating won't scare deer off but this is the first time I've actually been able to confirm this. At one point he looked straight up at me but he never spooked.
