Nice, since I am on public land I would have no problem taking a shot at that guy... Hope you get a chance to soon.

Just had a buck come past my stand. Too bad he was several rows in the corn. I could see his back and rack. No way was an arrow going to get to the vitals without being deflected to God knows where.

Man, at least you know you are in the right territory. We still need a first kill for team 7!

Got home in time to pull a trail cam in my backyard (We live on 150 acres) and very happy with the results. [IMG]

Got some more good news. My hunting partner sent me this picture today of a buck he saw when he was scouting this morning. [IMG]

[IMG] what do you guys think? Hard antler photo is from two years ago, velvet is this year. Same buck or same genes?

Wow, that is really hard to tell. He is definitely the spitting image of the deer from before, but he doesn't look any older in the body. Rather, he almost looks younger. Maybe he just had a rough year... I would guess that this is the same deer

Hey guys. Sorry for the inactivity but its been hell trying to get my life back in order since Hurricane Harvey. My hunting time will take a big hit but i should still be able to get into a tree at least 2 times this season. I don't want to bring down the team so if ya'll would like me to speak with fitz about getting a replacement member, i'll understand. I'd hate to loose because i couldn't get out enough to put some points on the board.

This competition is about having fun and meeting new people, the points mean minimal.

I will also add that having three people from Michigan will make winning really hard lol

When you go out to hunt this year, enjoy the time away from the Hurricane aftermath, the last thing you should worry about is points while hunting.

I didn't sign up expecting to win, I just wanted to meet some people and be apart of a team. If you only get out twice so be it.

It all in fun. I don't expect to win. I like meeting other hunters that enjoy the sport as much as I do. The important thing is that your ok. And as I read we are handicapped anyway with 3 of us on this team from michigan..lol
Let's just play the game with our members and let the points fall where they fall.. best of luck to all my team mates.!!

No definitely don't replace yourself. This is our team and I don't think that I'm speaking for myself when I say we're all pulling for you! Whether you get out one time or twenty times there's always that chance of being at the right place at the right time! Let's get out and put some points on the board gentlemen. T minus 10 days here in Michigan!

I concur with the rest of these guys. I am glad you are ok and hoping you get some stand therapy in without any pressure to bring in points.

Sorry I haven't chimed in on this yet! I just now am reading this! I am on team 7 as it was drawn, and I want it to stay that way. I don't care if we win or come in last, I just like to have a team to talk to! Stay with us, and let's have some fun! You will need some tree therapy worse than the rest of us! Prayers are out for you and all folks affected by these storms!
