Team 7 Shwacker Barrel

I saw three bucks early this morning. I watched them walk up the hill towards my stand, stopping to make rubs along the way. One was definitely a shooter. He was outside his ears with lots of mass. I couldn't tell if he was an 8 or 10 points. He was within 30 yards, but in the brush. Never offered a shot.

Zip for the day besides the little 6 this morning. Running out of ideas to get on bucks, or they just ain’t moving on within the property lines while I’m hunting. Be back out in the am hunting with my brother in law. He’s not seeing much either on the piece he has permission on about 2 miles down the road. Not sure what our plan is for tomorrow, but scrapes, food plot, and thick areas haven’t work so far.

 

Went up on a property that I haven't been able to hunt for a few years. It neighbors the property where the folks won't let me hunt because of the EHD. But it gets me within proximity of that big buck I had on camera the other night. Just as I crested the ridge, I saw tines running away from me, and it looked to be a decent buck, but I don't think it was the big boy. I elected to set up on the ground. I rattled in a smaller but decent buck. But he got down wind of me. Definitely would have shot him. From the ground of my recurve, no question.

 

Buck down. Not gonna get me in the [emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]club but I’m happy. Pics coming soon

Yea im probably gona take it easy until then and then hit the private hard maybe throw a hunt or two in between then somewhere else. I did finally buy another combo tag today and since I lost the meat of the buck I feel like l should fill both

I won’t be able to get out until Saturday morning unless I sneak a day off school or a morning this week. Gonna be hard for me not to want to shoot some green heads here soon…
