He was super alert but not at me! 3 or 4 coyotes were lurking and I watched them sneak down wind and that’s why he froze there I think

Cell cameras are fun, but man they can be frustrating! lol

Hunted this morning and only saw a button buck. Going to hunt both AM and PM tomorrow since I can't get out this weekend. My only chance is Sat afternoon and I'm going to take the boys out to the lease and try to get Jake a redemption deer. Starting next week it's go time for me. I plan on hunting just about every day.

High probability of rain for the next several days. I'm working on Saturday, but I probability would not go out in the rain anyway. I may get out Sunday afternoon. My vacation starts November 2. I plan to hunt every day for two weeks.

Apparently it’s a red moon, barometric pressure is high, gonna dip down in the mid 30’s tonight, and rain coming in on Saturday. It’s been very windy here and tomorrow that dies down. Even if you don’t believe in moon stuff and barometric pressure having an affect on deer, one would STILL say tomorrow is probably a pretty good day.

I don’t believe in any of that, so I have some crystals and rocks I got from the lady at the incense booth at the Traderbaker’s indoor flea market and she said they’d help. Bought a tarot deck, but can’t figure it out, so we’re just going to play go fish with it.

So it’s pretty much a done deal, I just need to go collect my bounty in the morning.:lol:

I’m 20ft up with a good wind tonight and the neighbor is picking the corm than buts up to my timber. Feels like a good night!

It's the last week of October and the conditions are right - it's definitely going to be some good hunting! Good luck out there, fellas! The best time of the year is officially here. The next 30 days is crunch time.

10 hours to go…most of the bucks I have killed have been the last week of October. I’m going to miss the first time hitting freezing temp this morning unfortunately. I’m going to ease into hunting hard this weekend. Gotta get my sleep schedule switched around and get the last couple chores done then by next week I should be full bore. This is my favorite time of every year just feels good to be here. I hope everyone gets to soak it in and enjoy it, I know I’m going too. Good luck team let’s put some deer down.

Saw a little doe on the field edge as I went in. The scrape that gets used year after year about 50 yards in to the woods on a logging trail has been opened back up. I slapped a camera up on it. Not sure if I want to set in the food plot stand tonight or go back across the road. Got another picture of the tall 8 that I posted a picture of the other day. Not going to go out of my way to shoot him, but if he gives me an easy opportunity that’s his fault.

We had our first good, hard frost of the year this morning and it felt great! I ended up seeing 8 deer in total, 5 does/fawns and 3 bucks. No big boys, but they were pushing each other around pretty good.

On my walk to and from the tree this morning I passed probably a dozen fresh scrapes that weren't there 3 days ago, and a couple BIG ones. The big boys are starting to get fired up for sure.

I'm home to work a few hours and then back after it this afternoon.

Driving an hour up to my buddy’s. He’s got a group of those and a couple bucks coming to eat on acorn’s down by a field edge just about every night. He has a literal utility ladder going up the tree so all I need to bring my Lone Wolf and hang and hunt.
