Ya having a dog that finds sheds and covers 4x as much land as a human is def an advantage. Bucks are still holding around my area in Pa and starting to drop at my prop in Ohio.

4X? My friend, you have obviously not hunted with a shed dog :) more like 40X!

One way or the other, I will have a Puppy paid for next Saturday! Shed seasons 2019+ will be much more memorable

I think there is this perception "if I buy a dog the sheds will practically walk to me." Simply unthinkable. I am fortunate to have a dog that shed hunting was bred into I think. Leo found a shed within his 1st hour in the field. He was 10 1/2 months old. So to get your hopes up that you will have the greatest tool for finding sheds is easy to do. But in reality most of the time spending a lot of time and patience training the dog is needed. And even then it could be easy to give up on. I won’t get this lucky again. I can guarantee it.

Oh I am well aware of the time and training it takes. A dog bred for hunting and having that drive is the start, and then you can work with them to train for whatever you hunt, birds, waterfowl, sheds, drugs, convicts, etc. I dont expect to just take my house dog for a walk and find 24, I expect to put a ton of work into this dog and win competitions and have one of the best trained shed dogs in the country. If I aim for that level, dedicate that much work, and envision that much success, I will likely land in a very satisfactory range.

If I shoot for average I'll end up at mediocre, if I shoot for great I'll end up at good, if I shoot for the best I may just end up with a great dog. I'll never get have a great dog if I shoot for average.

I'm thinking of inviting a bunch of friends, acquaintances, friends from church, people off the street, and 2 potbellied pigs to come shed hunt every farm I have. I'll be entering all of the sheds they find in the contest.

Sure it counts. Those old ones are tough to find/see with the discoloration. Looks like a nice one too.

You need to to keep up!:) But of course now I have a couple of dogs on camera so you will have that help too...other guys in my areas I look is making it harder.

The other thing if I don't post sheds day by day then you guys question that too. I'd rather post 30 or more at a time.

How bout you guys put the miles on that mwe do and see what you find. Last I looked I was over 230 miles on my legs and I'm sure Leo is 4Xs that.

To be quite frank I’m sick of your arrogance, we get it you put on wayyy more miles than anyone ever will and have a badass dog that finds a ton of sheds. Not taking anything away from your dog he is very talented clearly, contest is for fun and sh*ts and giggles.
