October 2nd here in Northeast PA. This is the ONLY shooter ive got on camera so far this year, though new guys tend to show up towards Halloween.

Here's to hoping for blood shed, and antlers grabbed! View attachment 137131 IMAG0185.jpeg

Well I just had one last scouting mission before season. Hung a cell trail cam and put out 50lbs of corn on the ground right next to a standing corn field on one side of the property. Checked the white oaks and not a single acorn on any of them.

Went over to the soybean side and checked a cell trail cam and threw out 50 more lbs. I’m trying to see if any bucks will touch the corn in the next two days on either side. If so, I’ll know where I’ll be next week sometime on the right wind. If not I Amy try a smaller field edge where I’ve had a buck in daylight. Fingers crossed. If love to tag out early and go hunt WV with some buddies later on.

Looks like we'll have some good weather for the opener this week. If I tag a buck early, I'll most likely take my son out for most of October. The last week 10/26-10/31 I'll be out in Oklahoma hunting. I have a 120 acre farm in WV that I'd like to hit also this year.

This N/NE wind today and tomorrow really has me wanting to get an evening sit in before the weekend. A few of my dynamite stands are huntable with any northern wind. I won't be able to get out Fri or Saturday but Sunday is a go.

Opening day in IL! I didn't go out as it was 90 degrees here today. My dad is my hunting partner and we hunt the same farm and stands (he's on team 2).

Yes I'm stealing his pics for my post if you look through other teams thread. But the food plot is looking good! And got a shooter on camera. Bring on the cooler weather! tapatalk_1633128831571.jpeg tapatalk_1633128838996.jpeg tapatalk_1633128835641.jpeg tapatalk_1633128841853.jpeg tapatalk_1633128844075.jpeg

Same here. I know the saying goes “you can’t kill them from the couch”. But my feeling is if I go in now, the odds aren’t in my favor. And all I’m doing is educating bucks I want to kill when the conditions are right. So I will wait. Next weekend looks good.

Same here! I'm going with the no pressure approach right now. It does feel weird not to have hunted yet. Hopefully this approach works when the rut gets going!
