Got to revive this thread. How's it going? When is everyone's opening day? Sent from my SM-N975U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Opening day is Sept 25. Won’t be able to hunt that day but hopefully I’ll get out on a soybean edge that week. Going to WV tomorrow with my brother to put out corn and cameras. Never hunted my grandpas property before over there. 120 acres close to a huge chunk of public. So I may hunt over there this year if time allows.
October 1st in Illinois and I may try to slip up to wisconsin and hunt early if I can on some family land Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hunted some private land in Wisconsin for a few years. Where at in Wisconsin is your family's land? Sent from my SM-N975U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

My ultimate goal is to shoot a deer on property that I own! Sent from my SM-N975U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Planted a fall mix of winter rye, wheat, radish, peas and rape yesterday evening. Sprayed a few weeks ago and seeded in the thatch and mowed over top. Total size is about 1 1/2 acres Broadcasting urea over my brassica plots this evening. Rain forecasted for most of tomorrow. The deer have already been hitting them pretty hard. Hopefully the extra bump of nitrogen will help them rebound.
Finalized 3 stands and haybale blind yesterday. Nothing crazy on camera yet but that isn't unusual for this time of year at this farm. Going to be a good year for us. I can feel it! Sent from my SM-N975U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
That sucks! Do you have permission on others? Or are you out of luck this year until something else comes through? Hopefully the letters will come through. Sent from my SM-N975U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I’ve got one farm left now that’s been a producer it’s just small. 120 acre farm with 10 acres of timber is all. Just need to be picky on how I hunt now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
