I was out last weekend to my deer lease (AKA The Bone Yard) and the farmer that owns the land put two 1 to 1 1/2 ac food plots in. When I talk to him he stated that he thought we might like to have deer coming in from the land next to us. The land next to the Bone Yard is 1800ac of timber. Damn I do like huntin on this land and the farmer is great!! He was also telling me about a non-typical buck he has been seeing in the last month. I cannot wait to see if I can get so trail camera pic’s of him. I will not check any of cameras until the season starts, and we still have five weeks to go in IL. Hell maybe I can even get a whack at him!
Wow, good luck on the non-typical. Sure would be sweet for 2 of them to come down for this team this year. Having a farmer on your side is always a good thing. They see things while out in the field that really help hunters.
I see other teams have a leader or captain for their teams. Is this something we need? If so who is going to step up to the plate?
Yeah Joe step up man! lol Congrats Al on a great bear. I have 1-3 years until I can draw as we have a points system here in Wisconsin.
I'm not exactly sure if I have the leadership skills involved to be the captain of a team. Come to think of it, I'm not sure what the captain does here.
