Congrats on another deer Lady Forge!

I cant wait for these long 2 weekends coming up. I hate this getting dark early, it really hurts my weekday hunting.

It seems as if every deer has been ran off from where I hunt.:(

    Until Feb. 7th

We got a good bit of snow last night and hopefully is sticks until the weekend so I can possibly pick up some travel routs from their tracks in the snow.

I will be going out sat and sun. The hight temp will be 13 deg. It has been very cold here and most of the deer are moving about 1 to 3 pm.

Well I will be heading back down to the lease in KY on Friday to hunt Saturday and Sunday. Then that will leave me until Fed 7th here in Ohio.

It has been a rough season full of missed opportunities, a blown shot and some bad luck.

However I have seen some nice deer.

I have my doubts that I will luck out the last few weeks, but will still try.

Guys I froze my ass off. It was -5 with 5 mile winds. I made it 3.5 hrs in the tree stand. My legs were so cold that I had a hard time making this move when I got down. I did see a lot of deer but none within bow range.
I will try again this weekend it is suppose to be around 15 deg. A HEAT WAVE…………………..LOL This is the last weekend

It sure was a frigid weekend in KY. We didnt see a single deer, not even a track in the snow. We need a food source there BAD.

It was a pleasure being on a team with you along with everyone else. I would be happy to be on a team with any of you in the coming years.

I am sorry I was not able to produce this year. I had many opportunities at small bucks and doe fawns but I passed on them. I also blew a shot on a great buck (if he would have not jump I would have had him). In a way I feel like I let the team down however I know this is all part of hunting.

Coming into this season I felt very confident that I would put one down.

I had some very neat experiences this season including seeing the biggest fork horn known to man that walked within 10 yards of me while I was taking a leak . It was a true poster moment.

I believe I made a few friends being on this team which was one of my main goals.
