The most action I had this morning was a fox behind me. I did here a deer blow (not sure if it was at me or not) just after sun up. It came from a direction I wasnt expecting so it could have winded me, hard telling.
any score yet?? guesses? I came up with 149" what a buck!!! no matter how you look at it, its a book buck bottom line. congrats again Rutt!! EDIT::I just seen the score at HNI 138 3/8" Damit, I was off by almost 10" I was way off on my beam measurments. Dam, thats a good looking buck!!
Well I finally got him scored up and posted over here team. I am so happy with this buck I could pee my pants. I just hung my set earlier that day and shot him in it two-three hours later. I seen a six pointer ten minutes after crawling in the stand. He worked his way down wind of me and winded me a bit, turned and went back the way he came from. Then I forwarded a disturbing text that I recieved freind to peakrut. I told him I had seen a six but was looking for a big boy. As soon as I put my phone back in my pocket, I looked up and seen some movement about thirty yards out. There was a 120"ish 8 point to the left and then I spotted my deer coming in a little to the right of him. He looked big comming through the woods!!! I had an imidiate 30yd shot on him but was still in shock and had not even picked my bow up yet. He keep walking to the left and I seen that I was going to have another 25-30 yd oportunity. I stood up slow and told myself "this is it"!!! I was so pumpped up it wasent funny.. As he made his way into the shooting lane, he turned and stareted heading straight to me. He walke to 15yds and stopped and was looking around presenting me with a 15yd quartering to me shot. I drew my bow as slowly as possible sure that he was going to look up and bust me drawing on him. As soon as I felt my bow break over, and I seen him through the peep, I new he was as good as mine!!! I settled in on him and let it happen. I watched him take off right under my stand and run 40yds behind me where he stopped for a second, then took off again. I then sat back down in my stand, shaking with joy and almost to the point of crying. I was so happy and I could not wait to crawl down and go get my wife out of her stand and tell her I just shot a bruiser. I text peakrut back and told him "I just shot a bruiser". I then made a b-line to my wifes stand and told her the good news. We took the bows back to the truck and grabbed the flashlights... The long walk back in seemed like it took forever... After a bit of looking we tracked him down and I screamed like a little girl when I seen him laying there!!! It was so awsome that I was able to experience this with my wife. She is hot, loves to bowhunt, and she my favorite hunting buddy....Now its her turn!!!!!!

Guys ol peak is pretty bummed now I had just found out last night I have lost my great spot for a year. The owner is pissed with the earn a buck and not seeing many deer when he farms for starters. Plus a few other issues that he is not happy about but not mad at me but my brother and I will leave it at that. I still have a small piece and some public and I will give it 100% so we will see what happens. T Forgot, if one piece of advice make sure you take care of the property owners each year with some type of thank you gift.
