Not a whole lot to report here. A couple mornings ago I had 2 bucks within 20 yards of my stand...too bad it was still black dark! One of them was walking and grunting. The other one stuck around until just after daylight but he kept a big cedar between me and him. I never saw him but he was oh so close. I moved my stand about 50 yards to the area that they used to leave the food plot I was sitting by. Hopefully it will pan out!

Pat, We don't see that many yotes around here. I might see 1 a year from stand.

I'd put a coyote way up there on my list. Higher than a doe or average buck.

    Congrats!

Come on out to Kansas and shoot all the yotes you want! I hear them things every night almost, and you just about can't leave a deer overnight anymore.

Thats how it is here too. Last year another guy that hunts the same property i do left one over night and found the remains in the morning completely torn up. That was the first one i've seen from the stand all year and my first time successfully arrowing one. Oh well, time to get some whitetails now.

    Well............ Deer #8 Down :)
I was waiting for this certain wind that we had this morning to hunt this one spot for a nice buck.
First from behind me comes through a huge Doe and he twins I have her broadside and standing still at 31 yards but there was to much brush in the way for a clean shot so I just enjoy the show and even had a good laugh watching one of the fawns whom had become side tracked and then relized mom had left and he started bleating for her and running after her.
Next in front of me comes another Doe and her fawn I have the Doe broadside and walking at 20 yards I mouth bleat to stop her at 18 yards and shoot. The Arrow hits a bit high after I see it hit a very small twig.. ( dagnamit ... how come I can never see those tiny twigs before I shoot )....but I can see its a pass through and blood is just pouring out of her as she barrels through the woods. I quickly hear the sound we all pray for .... CRASH... shes down.... I cant see her but I know shes down so I continued to hunt... but alas the buck was a no show.

Congrats on the Yote.... I wish they would let us shoot them where I hunt :( .... the place is thick with them.

Congrats on the deer everybody. It would be nice if there was unlimited doe entries with as many as out team has killed so far :tu:

Chris, there will be plenty of opportunities for ya. I got a feeling you will get one soon.

I might have permission for another AWESOME piece of property come tomorrow. This summer I drove by it at night, and there was 15 bucks, along with about 30 does. Probably 6 or 7 of the bucks were over 140", so there is definitely some big deer in there.
