Majority rules, Massbow is El Capitan, (if he wants the position of course). Going to the U.P. to tear up the ATV trails for a few days this weekend. Then next weekend I'll be hunting and fishing in Wisconsin. 10 days and counting. Man, I'm pumped! Jeezy, that buck is a stud!

Would you guys shoot this 8 point buck this year or let him get bigger?...Let me know your thoughts! The 1st pic is at a different camera than the 2nd and 3rd pics, but I think it looks like it is the same buck though I am not positive. What do you guys think?
Buckjeezy, the question is whether or not you would shoot him. That is your choice bud. As for me, that type of buck gets an arrow every day all day where I hunt.
I understand and that decision would be made if he walked by. IMO it is easier to say you will pass on a borderline buck (given the hunting area) than to actually do it if he walks by your stand. I was just putting out a topic to discuss not looking for advice. I should rephrase the question and ask what are your thoughts on this whitetail if he were on your property.

Here is a picture of him from the side being a bully himself. I think he is a younger deer with loads of potential to grow over the next couple years and be a real bruiser next year and/or the year after. That is not saying I for sure would not shoot him if he walks by this year... Would all depend on the mood I am in that day, and how the season is going. I am sure I would be happy if I got him and I am sure I would be happy if he was around next year and bigger.

I would definitely take that buck. Bucks like that around here are few and far between. I've seen them around, some even when I was in stand but have never been able to get one in range. On another note have you guys been checking the scorecard thread? Theres at least three bucks down and a doe the last I checked. Its killing me I cant even hunt yet. Opener is sat in nj but I wont be able to get out until at least monday after work. Ill keep you posted if I make it out. Anyone else going out yet?
