Good luck over the next two days guys. I will be checking in to see how you guys did over the weekend.
wow greg, great story and beautiful buck. When I shot my deer I didnt mean to scream but I made a pretty loud "blah" and my grandpa heard it 150 yards on the other side on the ridge. Purely out of excitement. That deer is a beauty though! btw how do you like shooting the longer feathers?
Thanks MassBow.. as far as the feathers, I'm not sure they're "longer" -- they're only four inches long. Perhaps they are compared to the new-generation Blazer style, but... I think I responded to someone in that thread, it's all I've shot for almost 20 years (the first few years before that I shot Duravanes and other stuff...): Four-inch, right-wing, barred feathers. I doubt I'll change in the next 20.
Here he is guys! I just got home late last night, I'm exhausted and have a lot of work to do. I'll get a tape to him later today. He was a big boy!
FEB, what a buck! lll be in the woods Thurs and Friday to try and get in on some hopeful late rut action.
W might have a chance at this thing!! Few more bucks on the ground and it's all us, now I just need to do my part. I'll be hitting hard with about 8 sits before the orange army is out next Monday. Wish me luck!
ISiman4...I predict success with 8 sits this week for you. We DO have a chance at this thing if a few more bucks hit the ground. We made a huge leap last week.
great buck feb. just got back from gun season weekend went good just no shots. gun season is a relaxer for bow season for me.
Nice buck FEB! I put the smoke pole away and will be back in the woods with the stick n string 4 days this week! Hoping to knock one down for the team!
Scored my buck last night and it came out to 52 1/8 so I got 2 more points than I thought. Ill post it on the score thread later tonight
Everything helps, striker!! You'd be amazed at the people who don't contribute ANYTHING to their teams over the years I've been involved with this... If everyone would just contribute 100 or 150 points, that team would almost win every single time with a few nice ones sprinkled into the mix.
Hunting Thursday morning and all day Friday for a buck. Good luck guys and I agree with Greg, every bit counts and things add up when people put down does and half the team takes down a buck. That immediately makes a team competitive.
Best of luck out there team! I'm taking a much needed break for the next couple of weeks. I can't wait to sleep until noon on Saturday.
