Well guys it's been a week and a half of ups and downs for me. Had some pretty good sits with lots of small bucks chasing and have passed a couple that I might regret before the year is over :bash: Yesterday morning I was in my favorite stand with a perfect wind. Ended up seeing 13 in an hour and a half, 7 were bucks and I passed a 125" 8 that chased a doe right under me. Had a nice 150" 10 chase one in out of the field but he went around me.

We have been hunting the North side of the property because of the wind and they have been on the south side in our food plot. I will try to post some pics tomorrow of the ones we are after. I have to take a few days off but plan on getting back in the woods Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday. Should get the wind I need to sit on that darn plot. Has been great spending that much time in a tree and seeing lots of deer but frustrating at the same time that we are getting pics of them in the places that we are not. Persistence is the key I guess. Good luck to all heading out. I like my chances for putting a 150 + on the ground the first part of next week.

Sooooo freakin close!!! Got settled in my stand today about 1 started seeing deer almost right away. Saw 13 doe in all and just one buck but he was a dandy, big 8 with a very large body. I heard him running around in the bedding area, I assume he was chasing does, so I tried an estrous bleat and he came running right to the edge of the the opening I was set up on but wouldnt step out to offer me a shot, he then turned and went back in so I started grunting along with the bleat he came charging back to the fringe again and again wouldnt step out not seeing what he was looking for. This happened one more time but by then it was to dark to see so I could only hear him but I dont think he ever did come out into the open. It was exciting yet extremely frustrating I just cant seem to get a break this year. Anyway Ill be back out on monday as my plans for hunting tomorrow got screwed up. Good luck out there guys I know someone will get it done soon.

Daaam, you got some bucks Page.
Too windy to hunt today. Got 13 hours of sleep, and I needed it. Next few days should be great.
Passed another 3 young ones yesterday, not many deer moving right now for me.
    Good luck out there!

Hey team... sorry I haven't been around much, but then -- what would you guys want? Someone who sat around typing in front of the computer, or someone out collecting points for their team!!!!!

Shot a doe yesterday morning, and dropped a hammer this morning... Should be around 200 points together toward the effort, I'm guessing ;)

Hunted pretty hard the past week and did not see a lot of movement or rut activity for this time of year. Was slightly disappointed overall as there was not tons of action that you like to see in November. Saw big buck 3 times but no shot. However, I did put down a young doe Friday night that was by herself. So some points and meat in the freezer was the highlight to the week and enjoyed my time in the stand as always.

well, ive been a little behind this season with a couple sicknesses in the family. gotta love public schools!!!! anyways, i was able to get out and set up my tree stand and ground blind. i have tracks in front of both of them so i have a good feeling. there is a cold front moving in now, and it seems like the cold is here to stay so it should have the deer moving a little earlyier now. wont be out this upcoming weekend, (shotgun season in illinois) but hopefully over the thanksgiving weekend ill be able to get out. great job to all those who have been able to get some really nice deer on the ground.

I'll share the story later on... got to drive 6 hours to the other side of the state for work her in a bit, and I wanted to get these pics up from my home computer since my work laptop doesn't allow access to photobucket.
