Heading out for my first whitetail sit of the year tomorrow morning... looking for a big ol' doe to make some hamburger meat with, but you never know what could walk by!
Good luck Greg. Ill be going out friday after work for a few hours, im kinda hoping to get a shot on a small doe just to take the edge off. Shadow ill probably be in the woods those days also hopefully we can pull off a double Ill be hitting it hard starting around oct. 19th.
Had a group of does sneak in downwind of me just before first light and start blowing and blowing... no action for the rest of the morning. Just a matter of time before some hamburger meat gets put in the freezer soon though. I'll be taking my oldest boy out Saturday and Sunday after his football game for youth shotgun season in Illinois to try to get him his first deer ever; can't wait for that!

Decked out in blaze orange for the weekend cuz of the youth season. Kind of a crazy forecast with showers and cold temps for this time of year. I hope it gets the deer moving.
FINALLY.......cold weather is coming. Here in MN its been way to hot!! Today was 80 and now tomorrow will be 48. A huge change in temp which hopefully will be a huge change in deer movement AND I'll be going out tomorrow for the first time this season so I'm hopeing I can see something!!! Hraded out for my first sit tonight. Have a few does on cam that come through about every other day so hopefully i can put aome meat in the freezer. If not tonight i will prob hit it pretty hard Saturday as long as the wind is right. Not many bucks showing up but i did get some pics of a big fat 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 a couple of days ago that haf his tongue hangin out and looked like his neck was already swellinup
Saw some good doe movement on both Monday and Tuesday but did not connect. I will be going back out this weekend. Today is my birthday so maybe I will get a nice birthday present this weekend.
Happy birthday buckjeezy. Luck it seems is not on my side Just got in from an afternoon hunt saw three doe none in range. It was hot today was actually surprised I saw anything. My gear will be in my truck from here on out so ill try to get out when I can after work. Gonna take a few days off in late oct. And early nov. Good luck to everyone going out this weekend
