Crappy thing about being so busy in life of not getting here but every couple days is I've got three pages' worth of info to go back and catch up on every time I sign in... Congrats to our new El Capitan!! Love the avatar, now I've just gotta figure out how to change mine (yes, I noticed the instructions, and I'll be referring to them here in a bit) My hunting partner and I got another couple stands hung yesterday with the heat index over 105... talk about losing some water weight!! Checked seven trail cams and got another BRUISER in front of one of our stands -- mostly nighttime pics so far, but at least we're getting an inventory of what's out there on this new farm we're hunting. I'm actually on Facebook way more than I am here (probably because all my drive time -- I'm in medical capital equipment sales by day) -- so if anyone on the team wants to send me an invite, feel free to do so. Send to Greg Staggs, just be sure to put a note that you're from my BH.com team, as I get a ton of requests from people just because I'm in the industry a bit and don't accept them all simply because they hunt.
Yeah, in comm-e-nois, we cant start till October 1st. its been killing me this year. though, i haven't even been out to set anything up yet. i gotta get out there this weekend to get my camera set up. hope ill be able to get something in range this year. i have a groundblind to set, a tree stand and i wanna make a make a natural ground blind this yea in a high traffic area.
I pratice 10-60 yards. I would never shoot at 60 just helps with accuracy. I'm about to purchase a go pro, video some deer hunting from the stabilizer
Hey mitch glad to have you. Ill practice out to 70 yards just because I can but I wont take a shot at a deer more than 35 max but I only have one stand that I can shoot past 30 anyway.
Glad to be on the team! Got a lot of good lookin bucks on camera and there was one spotted on the farm that is supposedly pushin 180".. but you know how a buck grows every time the story is told! I'll be putting an arrow through a doe next weekend(opening weekend) here in WI!
I practice from 20 to about 50-60 yds. My parents have an acreage and we are setting up an archery range so i'll be dialed in!!!! Good luck to all you guys out there.....lets stick it to 'em!!!!!
I practice 20-50 yards and shoot some at 60 for extra practice and fun. Would probably be comfortable taking a shot at 50 yards if the conditions were right, but 60 is too far. I notice a good difference between 50 and 60 yards when shooting and it is just difficult to be as accurate as I like at 60 yards.
What broadhead is everyone shooting this season? I picked up some of the NAP killzones that I am excited to try. I have shot the practice head that comes with them and they fly amazing. No joke the NAP practice head seems to fly better and more accurately than my field tips like it is better at stabilizing the arrow or something. Love them so far and can not wait to see what they do to a deer.
