Well almost had the big one last night. He came in10 mins after shooting light, and worked scrape and shredded a tree 30-40 yards behind my stand then walked by at 15 yards

He fell in the dang pond! Before going and getting my old man I had to walk in and get him before he floated out too far...water up to my belly in 40 degree water never felt so good. Haha

 

Anyone been seeing anything? Been quiet on our team.

 

Been waiting out some rain and warm weather to pass this week. Suppose to drop from 75F to 35F over night here, rain will stop and bring calm, clear conditions. Should make for a nice weekend of hunting. The rut is heating up around here and it will finally be cold. I'm ready for it!! Going to pull cards tomorrow morning and hunt throughout the weekend. Hopefully I'll have a nice one (or 2) on the ground by Sunday!

 

went out last Saturday evening for the first and only sit yet. had a couple does and fawn under me most of the night along with a little 5 point. Plan on going out tomorrow night with the wife. Will be hunting solid from the 6th to the 11th though.

 

Just landed in Chicago, I still have a 3 1/2 hour drive to the Bone Yard. Will be hitting it hard for the next 15 day.

Went all day yesterday no rut activity just scrapes. Passed 6 does , 6 pt and 1 unconfirmed before light

Fellow hunter on the property we hunt shot a HOSS SC 8pt. yesterday morning with his rifle @ 25 yards..... Too bad he couldn't let this bow hunter share that stand... 16 year old kid that loves hunting and hunts as hard as I do, that buck was well deserved. 185lbs

 

Got kids today and sons first wrestling practice age 5 , pretty excited for him
