I'm hoping to head in Friday and will be on the fringe. Only reason is because thr exact weather pattern brought out one of my target bucks with 30 mins left of shooting light, just so happened that he got stuck around 78 yards then went back to the way he came from.

I’m always aggressive. Probably too aggressive at times haha but it would depend where I was hunting. I almost never sit the same spot more than twice a year so I go right in there. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t lol

Lol I changed my ways as soon as you weren’t on my team. Lost all the private land so I’m a trigger happy guy these days hahah

Not sure about you guys, but my trail cameras have been dead lately. There is almost no movement during daylight, and what little bit there is seems to be all does and fawns. I'm pretty sure I haven't had a daylight photo of a buck over 2 years old in a week or two. I'm assuming they're hammering acorns in the woods right now because the couple of times I've been out scouting around, it seems we have a bumper crop of them this year.

It looks like I'll be able to get my boys out to the blind on Friday night - just in time for this cold front to hit. It was mid-80s the last few days, and it will be mid-50s on Friday with a 15 mph NW wind. Perfect conditions for our blind setup over the green food plot. My oldest son will be on the bow with the little guy tagging along. He needs another year or two before he's ready to start shooting anything. Can't wait!

Depending on the weather and sports, I may try to get out and hunt myself one afternoon next week. I need to get a couple of sits under my belt before things start to get good.

Same on my cameras but the pack of wolves is still showing themselves pretty consistently on my cameras as well.

I haven't gotten a daylight pic of a solid buck in a minute. Hoping Friday brings some movement!

No good bucks during the daylight but we’re seeing doe and spikes. This guy has come in the last couple nights just as the sun went down and tonight he brought a buddy. IMG_3300.jpg

No sooner do I make this post and I have a shooter show up in daylight. A buddy I hunt with is planning on hunting this plot/scrape on Friday night. Hopefully he gets a crack at him!

Also, the guy who farms this ground called me yesterday before he took the beans in the for the year and let us buy about an acre and a half back from him so we have some late-season plots. Can't wait!! That's really become my new favorite thing to do.

I made it out. Easy walk. Wind is howling pretty good. I’m on the south east side of a food plot and doe bedding that seems to have decent traffic, it’s been rainy the last two days and rained some this afternoon. The wind is pushing my scent down a logging trail and away from the food source so I feel like I’m in good shape. Some trees have bent into my shooting lane so that sucks. 33 yards to the big tree in the middle of the food plot. IMG_5051.jpeg IMG_5049.png

Well the colder weather has definitely moved in! Went from a/c to heat in the house real quick.

I'm working until noon today and then headed out to buy tags and jump in a blind with my boys. I'd say we have a really good chance at getting a shot at something tonight. My son is on a buck mission he says, so no does for now. He said we can do that over the bean plots during late season. Until then, it's antlers or nothing. Greedy little punk.

Good luck to everyone this weekend! Hopefully the activity picks up a bit with this colder weather. If nothing else, it will be nice to not be sweating the entire time.

Nothing, I went and checked my cuddelink after I hunted and there was a buck on its feet at the end of shooting time about 150 yards north west of where I was.

The amount of acorns is making it impossible in the big woods hills…the deer are just standing up and eating lol. I’ve been trying to focus on water but no luck. I have to work this weekend but going to try to find a sitter for Sunday! Goodluck this weekend fellas
