That would be a negative for me... 50 miles is the farthest I will be traveling.

I am hoping to get out and shoot the rifle this weekend at the range weather permitting.

McMiller? If so, I plan on being out there this weekend again this weekend. Gonna help a buddy sight in his new rifle. Might bring my .300 WSM even though I am not hunting a rifle state this year.

No. Just the Langlade County Rifle Range in northern Wisconsin near the cabin.

Sweet! I hunted gun season for about a decade in Langlade and Forest counties on paper land. Never saw a buck alive while gun hunting. Most years I never even saw a deer alive over the 9 days. I still talk with the guys from the camp up there often, but have not hunted with them since '07. They have taken one doe in that camp since then and that is one 80 acres of private land one of them purchased back in '09. I know there are some great pockets of deer hunting around that area, though!

Hey! I have not been back to the car show in Harvard since the GTG weekend. In fact, I have only made it to one car show since that weekend. How's that GTO running?

We will shoot one more time just before the season. I like to check this time of year to make sure everything is working good and it is just good practice to shoot a few times a year.

Geez. That is really bad. What the heck? I think my wife and I passed up on 7 or 8 deer opening day last year. No shooter bucks though.

True! Its good just to get practice and help your groupings but I won't bother messing with the sights till it gets cold.
