Here is my food plot after way too much rain. Its not great, but in better condition than I was anticipating.
I just got back from 2+weeks in Europe - earning kitchen pass credits with the wife. I did get to flyfish ("fish-a-fly-too") and caught some modest rainbows in Slovenia. (There is nothing like visiting foreign countries to make you appreciate the USA!) I hope to get into the saddle with the bow by Saturday. -fsh
We open on October 1st. Many years I don't go out until the last few days of October. I normally wait until mature bucks start showing themselves on scrapes in the daylight.
Well, a brief rain on Friday morning screwed me up on my food plot work schedule, so no hunting today. I planted 5A of winter wheat instead that took up most of today. I'll get in the saddle this coming week. How did it go guys? -fsh
Just got back from wyoming, we called in 29 bulls and only had shot opportunities at 2. My brother shot a raghorn and a buddy hit a twig and clean missed a 6x6. Was a great week and now I am looking forward to whitetails! going to be checking cards this weekend!
Guys sitting here at work daydreaming about opening day. Seems like October 15 cannot get here quick enough. Lots of rain this week has put a damper on our food plot work. Been busy getting stands in place will continue to hang stay on Saturday and look for new spot. Look forward to seeing how y'all season works out.
I’ll be out Monday afternoon for opening day mostly just to sit on our main plot and see where the deer are coming in from and video any nice action......75 degrees so I’m bringing camo sunblock.
Finally some days without rain here in MD. Had a decent 8 pt walk to 12 yds but couldn't see my pins. Happy though, in the woods and seeing deer. I'll be at it every weekend from here on out. Good luck those of you that are hunting. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
