The Doctor is in the house! My season may not start until Oct 17. I was going to be hunting Oct3 but I do dental work (I'm a dentist) for the IL National Guard, for the brave men and women who serve and my services were neeeded that weekend, so I postponed my opener. I live in the NW suburbs of Chicago, not far from Dukemichaels, Justin, JFergus and others. I'll be hunting some new property this year in JoDaviess county, which is famous for big bucks. I already have 4 fixed position stands set-up (thank you Duke!) and will be using a Lone Wolf Alpha hang on for some last minute tune-ups. I'll also be hunting right behind my home over a tiny food plot I planted, and thankfully it has finally rained. Good luck to all and be safe!

You guys pick a captain and name. I am good with anything but I'd rather not be the captain. Hung a stand yesterday, might be my best set ever in quite a while. Its in a very small group of trees near the corner of where 2 cornfields, a bean field and a bedding area all join. Saw 7 deer while installing steps and hanging the stand. Probably won't hunt it much early season.

Me too. I've been to Salem a few times, mostly when I was managing Babe Ruth all-star teams when my son played. Nice country around there.
