I used to have a honey hole that had no less than 50 bucks in it. People would feed the deer and they were all over it. Also because of that I didnt find much i found out much like a stock portfolio shed ground needs to be diverse. Have a crap load of spots to walk. That way if one doesnt pan out you have a fall back plan.

Yep, my best spot two years ago isn't worth crap so far this year. I found treestands (illegal) and cameras and so I think they screwed it all up

Ive never found treestands but i know one guy got caught with 3 deer in his truck and was dragging a fourth out when the dnr showed up. It was to easy from all the people that feed deer there you could stab them to death if you were a scum bag that to me isnt hunting.

Walked a new spot tonight thought for sure it would be good, i think some guys drove their truck through the field and picked them all up you could see his tired tracks zig zaging everywhere. I dont how he got back there.

Just got permission to walk/drive a 150 acre alfalfa fields and since a lot of mine came from fields or bordering woods this might get me a few more hoping its not to late. I know the farmer did find a couple as he told me in a text tonight

#40 - tied my personal best for a year so hopefully I can pull a couple more. Also found a nice deadhead that I thought was going to be an awesome shed and ATL pic but oh well. You can see a homeless guy's camp in the pic with me holding the shed up. It's been there for at least two years and the deer are still all over that ridge. 20170405_114011.jpg 20170405_114026.jpg 20170405_115732.jpg 20170405_115748.jpg

Number 41. Was hoping to break my record with a whopper but I'll take it. This may be an old shed to a buck my brother shot this year but I'll have to wait until he gets it back from the taxidermist to get a better look.

I'm starting to find fresh ones every day lately. Getting tough though, I know they'll be a bunch I missed next year.

#45 at a fence crossing. I was standing trying to pick a path and looked down and there it was.

Well, I am sorry all! I am at ZERO and will not be finding a shed this year. I can not believe it and it is almost pushing me to seek mental health counseling! I have NOT had a year of no sheds in a very very long time. I think that it goes all the way back to 1997 if I am correct!

Sorry to hear that Dawg. Hopefully things will pick up before next year and you can get back in the game!
