Hey guys. Checking in here from eastern long island. The last week has been tough with all the snow on the ground but on monday we had a heat wave,it was 40°!! I got out and put on some miles and was rewarded with 4 sheds. 1 matching pair laying 5' apart and 2 singles. Im on a mission to beat last years record of 39. This time of year work is slow for me so i get out often. Im not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing. Lol. Im going to try to get out again today and try to put some more on the score card. :nana: good luck to all!

Nice looking sheds, thats a great start Antler Insanity. I went out to check trail cams today and the bucks still holding. We still have alot of snow on the ground but its going to be in the 40's this weekend so that should take care of the snow. This is the last week of bow season and I will start looking for sheds, cant wait.

Hey guys. Well i had a chance to get out today so i went for it even though i was reluctant cause of the snow we had last nite. Im glad i did. Today i found 2. One of the antlers was the strangest antlers i have ever seen. I almost passed it up cause i thought it was dog crap! Lol. The second was a medium perfect 4 point with a rich darkness at the base. I do not use trail cams nor do i even hunt anymore, so its tough to say how many bucks are still holding thier gear. Where i shed its pretty thick for the most part so by the time i get close to deer they are already gone. I have to work for the next few days but will ceartainly be back at it over the weekend rain or shine, blowin 99

The high temps and rain this weekend should finally melt off all the snow here. I've forgotten what grass and dirt look like!

Hey guys. Made it out today and hit 3 diffrent spots. The first spot produced nothing but suprise and dissapointment.. a spot i thought i had all to myself and it was covered with footprints in the patches of snow that are left. The second spot produced 1 and the third spot, i found 2. Total for the day ,3

Made it out again today but didnt hit my usual spots cause of the warm temps and ticks. I came up with one shed and a decent dead head 8 pt . Pretty fresh, about a month old. Looked like a lost deer from archery season. It kills me to see that. Such a waste. We got more snow coming tonite so that will mess me up for a few days but im still going to get out this week. Is anybody else looking and not finding or just not looking?

I'm always looking at work...just haven't found anything yet. The area we're in now is full of deer sign, so I'm sure it is just a matter of time.

I have not seen a buck yet that has shed. So I am stuck waiting for them right now. I am sure that a few have but not showing on cameras.
