133 sheds, only 3 fresh? Bucks still packing everywhere? Texas deer must pack late, I remember seeing rut hunts down there in Jan. That's a lot of sheds to find in 6 days, but can definitely be done on ground that has high deer numbers and doesn't get picked over. My buddy and I found over a 100 last year in 4.5 days, you walk so much you get sore, your legs and body take a beating on rough ground. We found about 4-1 old versus fresh though but again all our bucks had pretty much dropped. Hell of a shed hunt Hound! I bet your pumped!

Pumped aint the word, I been scoring the bigger sheds and have got some pretty impressive ones to me. I never found any thing as big as these in my life so yes I am pumped and ready to go back looking but got to wait till atleast to the end of the month . The big 5 point scored 63-5/8 and the 8 point matches score 60-1/2 and 57-3/8 making them score around 135, 1- 4 point that scores 57-1/8 and the 3 point scores 54-1/8. Got a few more that will score a little less than these but still impressive antlers in my book. You are right about the pain that comes with it and hopefully the bucks will have dropped by the time I go back. Good luck in you searches hope you find another 100 this year.

Sitting on a deer trail, had to do a double take on it. Not to many pointy sticks out there.

Finally got out this past weekend for about 2 hours. Wasn't out as long as I had hoped for, but I had a lot of other obligations. I was able to find 3. 2 were smaller, but I put the tape to the 3rd one and it taped out to 72. Hope to see him around this season, however, I haven't had any previous footage or trail cameras of this deer so we will see. A lot of the bucks in our area are still packing horns. Seems like less then 50% have dropped. I'll get some pics up in the next week.

I went out this past weekend for a few hours and came up with one. This property I have shed hunted for the past two years and never came up with anything but I knew there were some good bucks using it especially a certain ten point I hoped to find. Well I finally found his left side and where I think he is bedding. I couldn't be happier.

    Here is the shed:

Here is the deer from 2010. I found his 2011 rack, we had zero pictures of him this past season.

Hey guys, I found 7 more this past weekend. Only 2 freshies, and seen a buck carrying both sides. Seems everyone is having this problem this year. Hopefully they will have shed by turkey season and I can find a few more. I will post pictures later. Hope everyone is having some luck!

Went out today after work, things are really green here but I did find one. If this was a tick contest I tink I would have won. This is probably it for me this year.

Congrats on all the finds. I am checking in, been working a lot. Haven't even had the time to go back shed hunting. Maybe I will get to soon. I hope every one has had a good year.
