I'm heading back to Ohio on Friday. My BIL was out this past weekend, and he only saw young bucks.

I have an Elite era, the ethos is legit and I almost bought it. I have a soft spot for 33” ata. I ended up with a Hoyt x33 over the ethos but I wanted a light forgiving bow and made the mistake to shoot the era. That ethos was in midnight copper and was a sexy beast hahaha. With their new line up out for 25’ I bet you can get a killer deal on a 24’ new old stock.

What did you like about it? Was there anything that really stood out? I am going to try to shoot one, but we have no boat shops within two hours.

It is extremely stable at full draw and holds on target excellent. It’s smooth even with the performance mods. Has a solid backwall, good speed and has a forgiving brace height at 6.75”, I only shot 20-30 arrows through it but I really enjoyed it. Nothing screamed out, it’s just a great bow. There are so many great bows now it’s all just personal preference, if I wasn’t such a Hoyt fan I would have bought the ethos. I sold my Hoyt ventum pro 33 and regretted it ever since , once they came out with the alpha x 33 with the new cams I knew I was screwed lol.

This week has been stupid busy with work. It always gets in the way of good hunting. I will be back at it again starting Monday.

I hear ya. I work 24 hour shifts, so when I'm working that day, I can't hunt that morning, evening, or the next morning.

Luckily, after the 28th, I'm off until November 12th.

And Jeremy, please check your PM's.

I just realized that today last year, I took the biggest buck of my life. A 173" buck with 15 scoreable points in Ohio. I had history of him most of the summer. I still don't have anything bigger than 135" in that spot this year. I'm staying out of it until pics send me something worth shooting. There's always something that shows up in November, so we shall see. I will be on stand in Ohio tomorrow afternoon but on our other farm in Monroe County. Good luck out there this weekend. This is the time of the year that we wait for.

That ridge was littered with rubs and scrapes. Didn’t see a damn thing though :/
