Watched 4 bucks yesterday evening. A 6x5, 2 3x3s and a small 2x2. They were off public land grazing our direction but bedded before they got to us and never got up before we lost light. We were 280 yds from them. Going again for just first light this morning.

Almost made a mistake yesterday had a young 10 that’s on the farm dog a doe right to me at 20yds I drew. Luckily I noticed what deer it was, there are 2 10 pts almost identical. I passed this younger 10 2x now. Just need the other 10 to show himself!
Here is the one that was dogging

Last night worked perfectly. The farmer texted and said that they were moving to pick the corn where we hunt. He ended up taking a few passes around the outside before having to go to his son's playoff football game.

So some is picked, but about 3/4 of the field left to pick. I was hunting a little bump out woods on a tree line next to the picked corn. I hadn't seen anything at all until I saw 2 big doe come from the corn towards the woods. They were 70 yards out and ended up going in the woods but going down the tree line away from me.

With about 35 minutes of light left, I hit the grunt call. A few minutes later, this guy came out of the corn just to my right at about 35 yards. He ended up coming in right where I wanted him to. I was on him but couldn't decide whether to shoot or give him a pass. Well, I decided to give him a pass. He walked 5 yards behind me, and I got a better look at him. His had a big body. He was older than I originally thought. I was able to stand up as he was walking down into a little bowl and shot him slightly quartering away at 20 yards. Double lung shot and down within 40 yards.

I took him to the processor, and he is going to the farmer and his family. They are so happy that they will have snack sticks, backstraps, and venison burger coming.

He won't score a ton, and there are bigger bucks there, but the farmer said, "we can't eat the antlers anyway!"

I got a kick out of his brow tines. They curve forward. 20241019_191944.jpeg 20241019_193017.jpeg 20241019_193035.jpeg 20241019_194300.jpeg

Jeremy, I hope I didn't upset you. I was just poking fun. Hopefully, you don't think I was being an a$$. Just giving crap/hard time to teammates.
