Been out a few more times, but nothing happening. Keep seeing deer which is good, but nothing is getting close enough. I had a one horn forkie at 38 yards in the field yesterday and that's been the closest deer I have had.

His neck is looking a little more swollen this morning. Not sure I can get out and sit tonight. Wind isn’t great for pushing in on him I don’t want to booger him.

It sure has changed. That is an awesome picture and a great looking buck. Definitely need to play your cards right for him. I have one stand that I haven't even hunted in yet, just waiting for a good one and daylight pictures. I've taken a 161" and a 173" from that stand, so it has great potential.
Best of luck on that one.

Great morning to be out. I’ve seen 10 deer so far. One was a busted 8 point with a G2 broken off.

Tomorrow morning is my muzzleloader mule deer hunt. Buddy is lending me a muzzleloader to use. I was going to use a bow, but this is not traditional mule deer hunting. It’s high planes where everything is flat and they can see forever. Bow hunting would be incredibly difficult.

Good deer movement this morning but the biggest buck was a fork horn.

Sure did! Pics and story tomorrow.

He won't score a ton but big body. And the farmer will be very happy with the meat!
