Checking in. I’m in the middle of elk hunting. So I will be off and on for a couple weeks. I live and hunt here in Utah. I’m an elk hunter that enjoys deer huntingI usually get to the Midwest to chase a whitetail. Looking forward to getting to know everyone a little better

Hey checking in. I am from Missouri originally but currently living in New Mexico. I am pretty focused on elk at the moment as I drew first season archery in New Mexico. I know this has been beat to death but if everyone kills a doe we have a great shot, my season starts 9/21 in an early season unit. Then statewide Pa is 10/5 and Ohio is 9/28.
Always wanted to chase Elk, my buddies go a good bit and I always can’t make it, I know once I go I’ll get bit by that bug. Good luck !

There are only 3 left to check in! My feelings for the contest are that it's all for fun. Don't change the way you hunt. We'd, of course, all like to shoot a monster for the contest, but if it walks by you and gets your heart pounding, shoot it. I'll be happy for you no matter what the deer is (doe, fergie, fork, monster). And I feel it's really fun when all members are active. And it's looking good so far! Checking in! Jeremy from south central PA. This Saturday I leave for CO for a 7 day DIY elk hunt. Deer season in PA starts the beginning of Oct. Last year, I got really lucky and tagged out on the first day! I hope everyone has a great season and can't wait to follow along!
Went to my farm today after work and got some hunting work done. I cleaned up access to stands and trimmed lanes, pulled some camera cards. Bunch of good young bucks and a few I’d prob shoot. The one I like is a freaky buck, looking to get my nephews on one of the many others. The funky buck won’t score much but he’s cool. I have a handful of other deer I’d like to shoot in Pa ant other locations. Ohio is another beast, some really great deer out there. Just depends on what shows and if I get a shot.
