I've been on a winning team in this contest and it came down to our team shot a lot of does and a few of us also scored on a buck. Those 50 points for does and smaller bucks add up! I believe the buck I shot that year was just over 100" so it doesn't even take B&C quality bucks. Just remember this contest is for fun (and bragging rights!) so hunt the way you normally hunt.

 

If hes anybody especially USMC he will come on here and say that himself. I dont need somebody replying for him. This is relaxed.....you dont want to see me fired up.

 

I agree. Everybody needs to knock down a doe and if half of us hammer bucks we got a good chance. This is my first time in this contest so I have no idea what it takes to win but i'd say alot of the other teams will wait for the "big one" and miss out on good bucks. "Hunt You" but dont wait if you got a good buck walk by, you may not get another chance. Im serious lets win this-son-of-a-BUCK!

 

Lmfao I don't want to see you fired up on an Internet forum? Are you saying I would make that story up? I think you need to thicken your skin a little and understand he was just having some fun.

On a side note, I'll be hammering a deer if it walks by and I feel good about the shot. I think I drew a dor tag this year and I can buy a surplus one when they go on sale. Can we enter in more than one doe per person?

Bear season opens in NH today, deer opens on both RI and NH on the 15. I will be hunting NH opening weekend. What about you guys?

 

Illinois archery opener is Oct. 1st so I have a month yet.
