Thank you all! It felt great to FINALLY get one down like him. But as great as that felt it was nothing like getting a phone call from this kid today saying he got his first deer ever and seeing the smile on his face! This is my nephew Nick & it’s hard to believe he’d never held a bow in his hands until this past spring or even had a hunter’s education card or hunting license until this past August! I didn’t get a pic of it but he made the most PERFECT 30 yd double lung shot that a person could make! I know this is a page for the team and the deer doesn’t count toward our score but I just wanted to share it with everyone! [IMG]

Definitely not the best pics! I'll get her on the scorecard also.

congrats on the deer fellas. I hunted all weekend and had a little five pointer come in and went to draw on him and my harrenss lanyard got in the way. The Saturday morning I had a coyote spot me before I could get ready. Then on Saturday evening the same coyote came in but seen me when I was coming to full draw. This weekend I will be out with the orange army. But there is always late season

Thanks man. Just an update for everyone. December first is the 60 day drying time so I’ll contact more P&Y scorers in my area to see who can score it

Shot my first doe on public land today on my first public land hunt. I’ll post pictures when I get to her.

That’s 3 does and 1 buck with the bow this year for me.

I haven’t been out since I shot my buck. Been busy with work and trying to get through the holidays. Hoping to get out the week between Christmas and New Year’s for some late season hunts. I think that since the woods I hunt has been pretty well left alone since the first part of November that I should have some decent action the last few weeks of the season.

Did you ever get your buck submitted? I didn't see it on the scorecard.

I also have an update on my buck's score. I found a local P&Y scorer that is willing to score him. We're going to meet next week sometime and score it. I'll post the scoresheet as soon as I have it.

CowboyChris, I lied to you! I was confused on the scorecard post. I guess I missed the rule where we have to post it up there, also, so I hope I didn’t screw us! I went ahead and posted my buck up to there just now.

No problem Junior, that is a heck of a deer! Congrats again!
Also, if you want to get the points for how many inches it scored, you'll need to post a scorecard with your measurements.
Take a look at some other folks buck post to get an idea what is needed.

I think it is safe to say we wont make the cut this year for points, some teams have 1600! So it wont bother me if you leave it the way it is. Just wanted to give you credit for that awesome deer. Some folks each year like to post the bigget bucks from previous years, and your is a dandy!
