Ive been out a couple since my last doe. I got skunked last Saturday morning. I sat Tuesday afternoon this week and had a great sit. Saw two spikes and a doe. But the doe wasn’t in range. That sit is probably my better rut spot so I’m exited for that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Probably another week until I'm back out bow hunting. Working everyday mixed with family events. Once 10/28 gets here, I'll be hunting nearly everyday until the IL gun opener.

Well my year of hunting sucks so far. Friday night we were at my parents house and at 1130 pm got a text my uncle passed away. So me and my brother to decided to still go out Saturday morning. I sat in the wrong stand and a nice 8 pointer walks between me and my brother without us seeing him. We had him on trail camera 10 min before we got down. Hopefully I will see a deer this weekend since the temps are going to be perfect.

Sorry about your uncle. Hang with it. I had those 5 sits without seeing a deer while a buddy texts me every hunt telling me about the 25-30 deer he watches every evening in his plots. Frustrating at times

Got up this morning getting ready and then all of sudden my son pukes. So it ended up I to sleep in for once. Plan on going out in the morning gonna have frost on the ground
Out on my public land hunt finally. Passed on a 110-115" 2.5 yr old last evening. Got a glimpse at a mature buck also. Today, haven't seen a thing. Leaves r raining down like crazy here.
What a great hunt this morning. I had a decoy set up and at first light I had to cows come smell it. I was thinking great way to start it off so I threw a couple of golf balls at them to chase them off which it worked. The. about 20 min a group of four does comes by. I was watching them for about five mins. then all of a sudden I look to my left and a real tall 8 showed up probly 140 ish deer. He stayed behind a tree the whole time. it was a great hunt
The Harvest from hell is over. Time get in a tree stand. I was going to head out this morning but the wind was all wrong for the one stand i was going to hunt plus i bumped a good buck yesterday checking a trail cam at that spot. Let the Killin' commence. I should of been in a tree on Halloween bucks, does, coyotes.....all day long.
Got it done tonight boys! Shot this guy around 4:30 this evening (11/08/2017). 14 pts still have to get him measured but will post it up ASAP! Used a Hoyt Carbon Defiant, Easton FMJ with 100 gr NAP Spitfire, Limbdriver Pro rest. Hope I got all of the bases covered on what I have to include in the post.
