I was going to recommend the regional section on this site. Looking through the threads i don't see one dedicated to MO like other states.

Not really sure how many active Missourians we have. Guess you could always start a new post in the Midwest forum, might get a few locals to respond maybe.

A week plus chalked full of 90's here, can't even get excited about the season that starts in 30 days. Might have to set back a little for a processing bill and a 10am curfew on morning hunts

It's a possibility I typically have gone door to door asking for permission but since I moved it doesn't seem to work as well here really would like to get a bit of land in ralls county for me and a friend but not knowing anyone seems to have the locals a little on edge hopefully I can find something soon that can just be the two of us hunting instead of 5 or 6 guys

There is I'm just looking for something private to get away from all the people. I have a couple private plots I can hunt just has to be when the owners are hunting as well and they don't like to hunt as much as I do.

If I had to wait to hunt when others were hunting, I'd find some unpressured or lightly pressured public land to hunt.

Well I'm not sure lightly pressured public land is very abundant most of the St. Louis hunters have it pretty full or hunted out.

I've hunted public ground my whole life and now ready for a change hard to find mature bucks on the public ground. The land I can hunt when the owners are there have good hunting just doesn't allow me to get in the stand when ever I want.

So the lands that you do have access to hunt but not without them, is that something money could change?

Might be worth an inquiry to offer them a lease payment for the right to hunt on your own.

No it's not really an option they are just family friends that have land and also hunt they just don't want anyone there if they aren't. I think it's more so in case something happens like I were to get injured they are there to help at least that's kind of how they put it. Just would be nice to have a place of my own but I can't afford to buy land so I thought maybe I could still find a lease somewhere.

I'd seek out large sections of public land so I could get away from other hunters or find spots overlooked by others.

I got drawn for an early season hunt sept. 15-27 on some good ground big deer there every year 6800 acres and 50 hunters every year and I know the farmer that has land that butts up to the back he gave me permission to use his road I'll be away from everyone there let's hope I can find a good spot to hang a stand

    #1 hit list deer
Nothing since the August 26th and nothing during the day, but very happy to see one like this on the camera. Will be several weeks before I can get in there. Will post more as I get them
