How's everyone's firearm season going? Freezer ran empty last week so I decided to put some meat in the freezer! Seen acouple really nice bucks just nothing I want to shoot! After all the Orange is put away its operation anything dies with the Mathews in hand! ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1448288207.394590.jpg

    Congrats!

Got a button buck Friday opener. Wasn't exactly the plan but after 5 hours of dogs running all around me his ticket was punched.

Hoping to get out this upcoming weekend, but rain to start the Thanksgiving holiday and probably winds to end. Should be a big storm Monday to Tuesday so may try for a Sunday sit.

Still have open buck tag but doubt I see much for antlers until next November

Rain and wind dependent I may get out for a morning hunt Thanskgiving day.

Right now wind looks to be the biggest factor but still 3 days away. Gusts in the 20's and light rain.

Weather aside another deciding factor will be whether I can get blood drawn that morning(my own) as I have to fast and figure Thanksgiving day would be a good one to go into hungry

Need to call about that tomorrow, if I can do it after work I'll go that route.

I've not given up even though I'm back to work and the rut is over. I'm gonna keep trying to arrow a buck. Worst case scenario is I don't but I learn my hunting lands better for next year.

Getting back at it Monday through Wed next week. Looks like the deer are back to moving mostly the first and last hours of the day Gonna keep plugging away, hoping to get lucky.

I don't know when I will make it back out. This upcoming weekend is secomd firearm season so archery is closed for me.

I wasn't able to go this weekend as my uncle landed in the hospital Friday and until I know the severity/prognosis I don't feel comfortable hitting the woods out there.

Still have the public land option, but enthusiasm to do such lacks at the moment.

Still have about 45 dayd until season ends and worknis shutting down 12/24 - 1/4 so should have a few more opportunities

Well I got out and did some "scouting" of some public land today gonna give it a try this weekend and see if I come back for late season bow. It's looking like a 20 min canoe paddle. Gonna be work but I'll go on Sat for a all day sit and see what happens! Sunday I'm hunting for the last day of waterfowl season.

Foggy out now had a deer come by at around 100 yards could not see it just heard it walking through the water other then that not much moving. Hunted some public land yesterday saw 6 deer all day 2 small buck and 2 does 2 fawns. Think I'll give it a try again.
